Problem with scenery animating

First time out of the vault
Hi guys... I have a big problem... I have created a series of pictures of some scenery, which I would like to animate. But I really have no idea how to do that. Could you be so kind and tell me how to continue?

You've got a few options:

1) If these images are BMP files then you can combine them using Frameanimator
This will turn them into a FRM which is what you'll want

OR

2) If you have Adobe Imageready you can combine all of the images into a PSD, Save as optimised to save it as a GIF and then use gif2frm to turn that into an FRM. This is however much harder and only really useful if you've already got them as GIFs. If you need help using gif2frm I'll post some instructions here since it requires use of the command prompt!

I have got The Frame Animator... I put BMPs into the list and create a FRM... BUT, when I get it to the mapper (I put an image to a map), I can see only one single image, which does not move... it is the problem which I mean... maybe some kind of script is needed... I do not know...

I'm no Fallout artist dude, but I'm pretty sure that in the mapper nothing moves until you go into preview (F8) mode, like Gizmo's sign. I can't remember though.

Mapper does not play animations directly so you have to give scenery object a script called animfrv.int from the script list. Or if you want animations to be played only when you use them(doors, computers...) then you don't need script. If you use "frame animator", make sure you set the frame rate for the scenery FRM.

Ok, I used the script on my scenery, but there is next problem. When I press F8, the scenery does not move until I click on it (use it). Then it moves. But I need movement from the beginning. I can switch off using the scenery but it does not help...

Did you made critter or scenery, i'm just asking because scenery objects are not supposed to move, change hexes. I'll have a better clue if you tell me what scenery have you made?

I created a brahmin but made it as a scenery... I wanted to make a truck, which is pulled by the brahmin... Now I think that it would be better to create a critter, but I do not know how.. I do not understand numbers behind names of FRMs at critter.lst...

Sorry, but there aren't any simple solutions, you'll have to make new frames for each direction... There are other topics about new critter frames, better check them or try -search-. I'm sure there is something about this subject.
