Problems applying the 1.27 patch

PC: Asus G60vx
CPU P8800 @ 2.66 Ghz
Windows 7 H.P. 64 SP1
nvidia GTX 260M 1GB driver 331.93
8GB System Ram
GSP Fallout collection DVD

When I run the patch it appears to do what is meant to (installer window and progress bar pop up on desktop and the bar runs to conclusion.) But when I open the game it still has the 1.13 version listed. I have tried run as admin on both the FOT.exe and the 1.27 patch file but it dose not seem to make a difference; also tried using both the patch included on the dvd and the 1.27 patch available here on NMA. Anyone know what might be causing this issue?

p.s. I never receive any error messages.

Strange bug you've found here.

Well it is possible you can install the patch manually, that would be your best chance, without to much work.
Here is a link to the extracted patch files, just replace your Fallout Tactics folder with this one, and your game should be all patched up.

Thanks for the pointer Mr. House.
One thing I did not list in my post was the fact that I installed the game in the default location (c:\prgramfilesx86.....), from what Ive seen this can be problematic for the patch. Just curious if the file you pointed me to has the bonus mission too, I have not had a chance to look it over as yet. Thanks again!

It does not, i will give you a patch for that too, it really doesn't matter where you installed your game, just as long as it has been started once so your computer can store its location, the patch locates where the game has last been started and that is where it installs, it also looks for specific files to confirm it is a valid copy of Tactics.

By the way after the patch is installed you won't need your Tactics CDs to start the game.
