Gaargh I give up! A sixth of the coming exam is on production layouts and production preparations. The rest is about casting, lasers and general metal forming. There's good course material online for these.
Absolutely nothing about the fucking production layouts though. We're stuck with a useless 70 page document that pretty much tells me everything I don't need to know. I have to learn the differences between process and product oriented manufacture, LEAN production (which I know most about), the Toyota system, manufacture preparation levels, and so on. Does ANYONE on this forum know anything about this, or a site where I can find out more? You'd help in saving my life, and more importantly, maybe the exam on thursday.
I also need to learn about linear production, cell layout and similar systems.
