I know I should have posted this on the V13 boards, but I'm feeling too lazy at the moment. Just a quick critique:

In your critical analysis of CTB in Fo:T, you stated that while a character is moving his AP does not change, because he is losing one AP each step he makes and gaining one each second.

Well, perhaps my version is totally screwed up or perhaps you made the fully legitimate mistake of taking the unchanging AP rate for what you did, but moving takes no AP's, instead the penalty is that you can't regain AP's for moving.

Correct me if I'm wrong on any of these given accounts, and if this is taken as an insult, I wholeheartedly apologize.

He's gaining them back at the same rate at which he's expending them. That's a net gain of zero APs. That's why the AP meter doesn't waiver while moving.

That's what I said in the review because that's what's happening.

Okay, here's another way to look at this situation with an analogy.

It's like having a chair sitting in your room. You're making the assumption that there's no forces on the chair because it's not accellerating. That's false, because the chair's weight is pushing down on the floor, and the floor's structure is pushing back with an equal force. The APs are coming back at the same rate they're leaving, so it looks like they aren't being generated while you're moving.

That make sense?

Oh, and no insult taken, I probably should have made it more clear in the article.

That and the i believed it was stated in the inteview that the penalty for moving was that APs would not recharge... that and if agility supposedly does effect movement speed and AP recharge rates in the final they will not neccessarily balance/cancel each other out....

Well, it appears I'm wrong about the way it works in the demo and the way they want it to work by the final. What I said is the way it will work in the final since everyone moves at the same speed in the demo.

See, in TB, you can run at the rate you expend and restore APs. It takes a whole turn to run as fast as you can from where you are to where you want to be. Therefore, the moving rate and the recharge rate are equal in CTB.

However, because it's a test code situation with moving, the rate is locked. So to simulate that effect mentioned above, they just freeze the regeneration in the demo.
