PS3 lockups

It Wandered In From the Wastes
So I know this is probably a dead horse, but I've started to get a lockup every 2 hours or so of gameplay. The question is will this stay manageable or will it be so bad that I should just quit now instead of wasting my time? I've just finished "they went that a way" and have pretty much found and completed every quest from goodsprings to boulder city. I haven't had any low frame rate/lag issues yet though.

Also does this happen to people with slims? I'm starting to wonder if this is similar to the LA Noire crashes that were on the old fat systems.

Bethesda games are among the worst things you can do to your PS3.

A friend of mine had nearly all his data corrupted by Skyrim

So 4 titles later they still don't know how to make a PS3 port? The old excuse "it's too hard of a console to develop for" just doesn't cut it 5-6 years later.

Yep. If they've figured out anything, it's to make their games able to short circuit a PS3.

That is why a lot of people give them so much grief, and critique a lot of their work. It looks like they don't give a shit. Surely they make enough cash to do a better job? The PS3 issues aren't even the exception either, which makes it even worse. Every system has issues with all of their games. It sucks. I hope they wise up and fix the problem someday. At least with Skyrim they took the users save files to fix them. At least they did that much I guess.....

And no they still haven't learned how to solve the problem either, and if they have they haven't implemented it yet. They said it depended on the users play habits. Anything over 60 hours will start to have issues I believe....

"I mean, suckers still buy 'em, so why fix it for the little masochists?"

Yeah I kinda wish I could do a 1 one for 1 trade for my ps3 and games and get an xbox and the respective games. What's the point in a system having state of the art capabilities if the majority of developers are too lazy to use them?
