    From the Live Stream text:

The Corvega is the name of a fucking car, you misanthropes. >_<

(That was directed towards Bethesda, not IGN, though some of them are also misanthropes.)

Misanthropes? I thought we at NMA were the misanthropes, not the happy, bubbly, life-and-modern-gaming-loving-folks at Bethesda and their fanbase.

The weird thing is Bethesda knows this; Fallout 3 had a Corvega Factory just north of DC (IIRC it had ants inside). Is this potentially a transcription error?

I guess it's possible there's a Corvega factory in Boston too and the locals had converted it to a power plant before the Raiders took over? You'd think that "keeping Raiders out of your power plant" is a good idea.

If it's anything like the naming pattern in previous Fallouts, people just name places after things nearby.

I just can't wait to read the 3-5 page long books. I will be so immersed you might have to throw me a floatie so I don't drown in it.

Funny they waste time making a shitload of 3 page long books but they couldn't be assed to implement a Skill system....

Can't wait to hear about how immortal NPCs make the story so immurshive.

I don't how to feel about this, there is so little that I found interesting and the rest is killing the little bit of hope that I had. Guess it is disappointment, strange, since I didn't had high expectations. :|

Looting in real time, dialogue with two more people, reputation is still in, are some of the things that I liked but the rest kills any hope that I had, no more skills, behemoths, wasted effort on the names and on the readable books. It all adds up with the stuff revealed at E3.

I want to know if the new animations (stimpak and such) can be interrupted by enemies and etc or are they just ''quick'' animations ( like the healing in Far Cry) and that the ''new ghouls" are coming back to their older form like in the classical Fallouts or they are heading more into Beth's zombie style. Did they limp in the older games?

This was an expectation? What studio do they think this game belongs to? Bioware?
    Wait, romance is in? Today's not April's 1! Hehehehehehehee........:puppy-dog:

Well Ghouls always limped and had frail bodies, it was in FO3 where they made them Olympic runners and able to use Missile Launcher. So they would be going back to what they were.

It was probably IGN's mistake. I don't think that guy has even played 3.

    Todd Howard's explanation of perks.

"So you have this Vault-tec [inaudible] with all of your perks, and there is a separate perk for each S.P.E.C.I.A.L. and each value of that S.P.E.C.I.A.L. from one to ten. So if you have a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in that you can pick one of those perks right away. So like this intimidation perk, if you have a high charisma, allows you to control other people. And each perk for the most part, except for a few exceptions, has multiple ranks. So we have combined the previous skill system into this as well. So if there are seventy base perks and then you add all the ranks, you're getting around 275 of these.
So, when you're coming out of the vault, if you decided to go right to a 10 on a stat and lower your other ones you can be some very cool perks. We've found that playing the game over time, this gets us some really cool different play styles. So very, very cool, fun leveling system in the game. " -Todd Howard, Quakecon 2015

    Its honestly not that bad.

Not sure if I got it right. Now you'll get a set of different 'base' perks/abilities combination depending on your starting SPECIAL, and during leveling up you can choose to rank up those perks (if it has multiple ranks)?
So if I'm a cheating bastard with all-10 SPECIAL, I got 70 perks right at the beginning?

That dialogue cross with four dialogue options sounds so flexible.

How can anyone even consider this replacement a good thing and still call themselves a fallout fan? This system is awful. here is no longer any real character build, this new system also made some stats into outright dump stats and it just becomes "Stat builds" where you won't be encouraged to mix skills because perks are just tied to a single SPECIAL stat rather than having perks that had multiple requirements and thus served as narrative tools for your roleplaying too. No difference between "ranged weapons" because the yare just controlled by Perception completely, Crticals are a bar that fills up instead of actually being a random occurrence, how can people even say this results in more variety? Gonna bet half the perks are just Percentag increases and the few "crafting perks".

I don't reallyy mind romance per se- what I do mind is every single companion being bi that's stupid and lazy from a storytelling standpoint. I'm fine with the option to have gay or even bi companions but the only reason Bethesda is making ALL companions bi is because they're terrified of denying the PC a single choice.

So they're saying one of the companions you can't have a relationship with is Cogsworth. Why not? It's not like there haven't been sex robots in Fallout before.

Like Fisto in New Vegas. Would be awesome to have someone like that as a companion. :p
