Questions about the Independent Ending

For an independent Vegas, is it best that I just try and fuck up the NCR and Legion as badly as possible?

Because you're told the NCR is going to attack the Mojave again anyway, and I think it's time a man, de-claws them a bit and puts them in their places.

I think it might be a nice "Don't fucking mess with Vegas" message.

But then again,I like Houses plan on manipulating the NCR for tourist income, and I think economically the Mojave would suffer from the lack of NCR caravans, I think anyway (Though Goodsprings independent ending states it thrives like other small towns due to trade.).

Also, does the Independent ending put the Courier in charge of only the Strip, Freeside and West Side, and the rest of the Mojave is independent frontier style? a technical "Anarchy"? or is the Courier in charge of the entirety of the Mojave?

It SAYS that he's responsible for a truly free New Vegas.

Also, I tend to throw the General off the dam.

And I don't think the drunk troopers would ever go back to Califronia anymore.

Besides, if you didn't kill the Crimson Caravan and the Van Graffs, you could roleplay asking the Crimson Branch in Vegas to support an independent Vegas. Shove some money and it will happen.

Also, in my opinion the Courier is going to move to rule the Mojave soon. If you ask Yes Man about the "Is there anything else that should be done?" after you power up El Dorado, and then Yes Man will tell you about Mr. House's calculations about a possible Civil War happening in Freeside.

You can ignore it, or you can talk to the Followers. If you talk to them, you will notice that the Courier is leaning towards ruling the entire Mojave.
