Questions about the latest Unofficial Patch & Res. Pack

Cyane

First time out of the vault
Hi there,

I have a quick few questions regarding the two:

1) Does the Patch and/or Restoration Pack remove the game's 13 year timelimit to complete the game? That was rather annoying.

2) I have Killap's older 1.05 patch installed currently. Do I install the latest patch overtop of the older one, then install the Restoration pack or?

3) Does it work with the new Resolution Patch?

Thanks in advance.

More questions like this. I'm too nice...

No. There is actually no way to truly remove the limit, but it is possible to get more time. See the ddraw.ini file in your main fallout2 directory regarding what to change.

The 1.05 patch is not mine, but the work of someone else. If you want the Restoration Project, all you need to do is install that. It already comes with my latest (1.02.25 at this time) patch. Be sure you downloaded the RP on June 13th or grab the fixes from the first post in the RP thread.

Yes.

Oh, I figured it was yours because it says "Killap's Unofficial Patch 1.05". So now, all I have to do is install the Restoration Pack over that? Will my previous saved games work?

It's wonderful to see that the NMA still has people like Dude101 roaming the forums after this long, but thanks for link you're too kind *sarcasm*.

Sometimes I wonder how that celistrials patch stills pops up from time to time. I mean It should be clear that killaps patch is the latest.

There are only so many "people like" you I can cope with, I used to have allot of patience, but you guys always insist on being spoon fed the answers (that are right in front of you) and there is no saving you, so consider being insulted equity.

I didn't ask you to offer help, help and patience go hand in hand. If you don't have the patience, then there's no need for you to reply at all. Somebody else that doesn't mind helping and has the patience can instead.

Let's not drag this on anymore.

Just to make things clear, I DID not make the unofficial 1.05 patch. It was made by Celestial and it clearly says this on the NMA downloads section. On the initial page it just says "Fallout 2 unofficial v1.05 patch". Once you click on it you will see the real author - not me. I can understand the confusion though since my patch is also called the unofficial fallout 2 patch.

If you want to play the Restoration Project, just install it and nothing more. This can be installed on anything, but a fresh install of Fallout 2 is preferred. Your previous save games will not be compatible though.

No its not that at all. I don't like anyone to waste our precious modders time, so feel obligated to ease the pain for them.

Anyway I am not usually a rude person, but hanging out on NMA rubs off on you, so sorry.
