Quests not working

First time out of the vault
I can't seem to activate the "Save Jonny" quest in Modoc, I've talked to the father several times, nothing.

Also, I wiped out the slavers guild, but Mom won't give me a reward.

Thoughts?
 
"The leatherworker Balthas is missing his kid. To find this out you need PE 6, to offer to look for Jonny you need IN 6, and for Balthas to give you the quest your standing in Modoc must be Neutral or better"

Also, I think it is Rebecca, not mom that pays you for killing all the slavers.
