This mission is really pissing me off. As soon as I enter the mission, the light on the siren is already on. I climb on the roof, go onto the balcony, and kill that pink raider guy before he trips the alarm trap. I free the mayor and throw the siren switch. 800 exp it says. Then I go free the mayor's daughter, but right after that, Barnaky says my mission's over and in the debrief he makes it sound as if I got all the townspeople killed. What am I doing wrong????

First, the siren isn't on, it's spinning and the light's on but the siren isn't, so what you need to do is to:

1st: Sneak to the buildings roof, go to balcony, kill the commander quicly. Take the key from him.

2nd: Open the door next to him, where hilary is. Talk to hilary and take the key in front of her.

3rd: Go to the roof open the door and pull the switch. So the siren can't go on anymore.

Be on sneak mode everywhere you can.

And for the rest of the mission, try to get as many civilian saved as you can. Since in many place the beastlords start to shoot them. So team work here is pretty essential if your guy isn't the fastest, most accurate man with the biggest gun in the whole wild west.

I did all that, but when I save the mayor's kid, the mission ends right there.

There are several optional missions besides freeing the Mayor's daughter:
- Save the townspeople in the power generator building (SE corner of the map)
- Save the ghouls from the beastlord attack (Ghoul shanty in the NW)
- Save the prostitutes (marked brothel on the map) from the beastlords

Do them all and you get a glowing debrief from Banaky

Do you have to do these optional missions before or after you save the daughter or does it matter?

The order doesn't seem to matter as far as I know. You will see a big exp bonus once you've killed all the beastlords in each building of those optional quests.

how do you save the prostitutes ? I had my whole team rush into the brothel but they start killing the prostitute rather than attacking my team, which results in 2 dead prost and 3 alive..

I had trouble in the beginning too, because those alarms are like all over the place (and they go off even if the big siren is out for the count). That mission holds my highest reload count record to date. I always missed someone that was like behind the corner or something. You just have to plan carefully (or sneak a lot, which I couldn't do). Be prepared for a few reloads just to get an idea of the opposition..

The brothel was a moderately hard part of the mission. First of all, you can kill the guards outside without alarming the beastlords inside (they won't attack the prostitutes, that is). Then what I did was run in as far into the center of the room as possible without starting combat (you can get almost to the center because the beastlords start running around at first). When they started combat, I had managed to lure two of the four beastlords to fire at my squad (I rushed in from the bottom entrance, and the two guards inside that entrance attacked me), so that only left two beastlords that were trying to kill the prostitutes. Unfortunately, they both fired on the same prostitute. I just ignored the other two, and with a bit of luck I killed the first hustler-hassler in the first round of combat. That only left one lord firing at the prostitute, so even though she took beating she lived. The upstairs part is much easier.

In overall it's not mission impossible, you just have to spend some time planning. (As with rescuing Felix - don't give up there, it's doable if you pull a couple of little tricks)

Indeed, saving all the prostitutes was difficult. I did it by ignoring the guys outside, as they are not an immediate threat to the prostitutes and I found that attacking them did set the indoor slaughter in motion. Instead, I snuck way around (east) to the back door, rushed to the middle of the room, and then started shooting.

I believe this is the only mission were sneaking in essential. If necessary, sneak nekkid (the prostitutes love it).

I have found that If you kill the outside beastlords fast enough they cannot raise the alarm on the inside of the brothel. As far as saving felix goes that was frighteningly easy for me, i had my main character with fast shot and 10 agility take some psycho and charge in real time mode with a neosted on burst fire, by the time the beastlords had seen what hit them they were all dead (about 10 seconds or so) and Felix had taken like 20 points of damage from random shotgun spray.
On a side note I have found that this tactic works really well in alot of places. In my second time through the game my main character has flower child and uses combat shotguns all the time. In that one mission (I forgot which one at the moment) where you have to defend the nuke-worshipping ghouls I have my one character with the H&K CAWS defend the entire south gate with the use of one injection of psycho and about 3 super stims.
She just walked right through a wall of fire to burst the damn mutants and point blank range. My best shot was were i killed 5 (!) in one blast. But I digress.....

RE: tricky prostitutes (spoil)

allrighty took me awhile to discover this but there is a tunnel underneath the whore house in quincy. It's really difficult to find from the outside, I suggest you play the game once just to find the tunnel from the inside. It's behind the staircase and even getting down that can be kind of difficult. on the outside it's in a grove of trees and you have to have your curser on the exact little dot to find it. The tunnel itself is a little tricky because you have to crawl through it but it doesn't show anything blocking your path :) sometimes I've found a person in the little room down there sometimes I haven't (I think they go into sneak mode)

here's the complete list of missions in Quincy (and in the way i
played it)

o kill beastlord whit key to mayor's room
o turn off siren
o save the ppl in the power generator building from beastlords
o save the prostitutes from the beastlords
o save mayor's daughter (kill every one in building)
o save felix from beastlords
o save the ghouls from the beastlord attack
o save yori from deathclaws

dont forget to pick up metal armour mkII in church (guarded by 2 deathclaws)

RE: tricky prostitutes (spoil)

Anything worth finding in the hidden tunnel. Like mabye a Pancor Jackhammer? :D

RE: tricky prostitutes (spoil)

actually the only jackhammer i've ever found is in kansas city. I think it's just one of those very...very hard to get items.
