radiation pills

is nothing special. you should be able to order those at your pharmacy.

just dont mistake them for Rad-X... they really don't work quite as well. ;)

also don't take more than one dose, it is harmful if you take too much.

We all got issued these by the government a while back in case Sellafield was blown up by terrorists. They also released a t.v. movie / documentary about just such an event. It was called.....Fallout.

Red wine is supposed to have similar effects (+potassium iodide can be useful too), but nothing saves you from intense radiation or lowers your radiation dose, this just helps you recover.

Actually it prevents radioactive particles (Iodine) from being absorbed into your thyroid. So you should take it before you go walking around in fallout.

If by intense radiation you mean gamma radiation, yeah your fucked. But it won't last very long, just long enough to burn your shadow into the sidewalk. Best stay in that 14 foot thick concrete bunker you made! Because you never know!

Really, the food industry uses gamma radiation to destroy bacteria in food. It doesn't contaminate anything, it just sort of, cooks you where you stand and wreaks havoc with your DNA just that sort of stuff. Unless your at ground zero, your probably fine.

Yeah the US government was hoarding the stuff, even if you can't get it, you can make the same stuff with over the counter stuff.
