Blarg. Back in the day I used to remember how to change my weapons around; I figured out the inventory pics myself eventually, but I had a hard drive crash and now I can't remember the program I used to change up the weapon descriptions and ammo damage values anymore.

Anyways, what's the best program for doing my descriptions, on WinXP?

Hello. I suggest you use "FIC" (Falllout item changer). It works with XP fine. But FO2 mapper does everything, except shorten item descriptions.

Use the official fallout 2 mapper to edit the damage and weapon discriptions.

You could also change the discriptions by editing the txt file with notepad.

Do a search for Coljacks tutorials, its under the section on how to make new protos.

Okay. Got mapper to work right, and I got it to save my new proto descriptions.

Only problem now is, for some reason the mapper only wants to let me type a very, very short description. Like, one sentence worth.

I'm not entirely sure why.

Everything else is working though!
