It's time for another Ratty's avatar competition! As you can see, I have a new avatar, and there are two things special about it:

1) The human silhouette in the picture is me! Namely, I edited an old image of myself so that you can get some idea what real Ratty looks like. That's all you'll ever see of me...

2) The green binary code in the image is not meaningless! It is a real code - ASCII code, to be exact. This is where it gets interesting.

All you programmers and computer nerds who know that ASCII is 8-bit code should have no trouble decoding my avatar. Once you discover what the code means, you must post it here, along with an explanation what it refers to! Pay attention to this part - if you manage to decode successfully, but don't understand the reference, don't even bother posting.

The person who wins this competition will get two priceless rewards - title of Ultimate Nerd Of NMA and my eternal respect. So, go for it, and good luck! :wink:
 
To no avail?! Correct me if I'm wrong, but some people managed to decipher the secret code of my avatar in previous competition. Now shut up and participate. :P

Edit: Oh, I see, an explanation. I'd think everyone and their dog/cat/rent-a-zilla knew this already, but it's a modification of the line, "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US". This line comes from a Japanese 1987(?) coin-op(? there was a version for the Sega Genesis too, I think) shoot-em-up game Zero Wing, wherein it is uttered by the villain, Cats. The game's English translation is a prime example of Engrish (aka Japlish).

In early 2001, Zero Wing struck the Internet as a phenomenon. Quotations from the game were everywhere. AFAIK, it was spawned by a Photoshop Phriday session at SA.

Here's the whole intro off the top of my head:


Narrator: In AD 2101 war was beginning.
(spaceship explosion. Iterior: Spaceship bridge)
Captain: What happen?
Mechanic: Somebody set up us the bomb.
Operator: We get signal!
Captain: What?
Operator: Main screen turn on.
(a hologram of Cats appears)
Captain: It's you!
Cats: How are you gentlemen!
Cats: All your base are belong to us.
Cats: You are on the way to destruction.
Captain: What you say?!
Cats: You have no chance to survive make your time.
Cats: Ha ha ha ha...
(Cats disappears)
Operator: Captain?
Captain: Take off every Zig!
(scene of a starfighter taking off)
Captain: You know what you doing.
Captain: Move Zig.
Captain: For great justice!
(The spaceship explodes, but one Zig escapes! The first level begins.)

DJ Slamak is the new Ultimate Nerd Of NMA, and he has my respect! If Odin is in good mood, maybe you'll even get a title in your tag.

Shame on the rest of you for being so slow... :|

Ozrat, you forgot the two eyebrows and the baseball cap!

As for you, Sander, sorry! I was actually pretty sure you were going to do this first. Too bad you were at school. But worry not, after a couple of months I'll stage another competition for the Ultimate Nerd Of NMA, and maybe you'll detrone Slamak. :wink:
 
Just change the coding in your avatar without telling anybody and see who's the first person to notice... You'll need about a couple of years for this though :)
