Re-installation issues

First time out of the vault
I was attempting to uninstall/reinstall Fallout 2, because i had graphics and music issues, so i tried going in to Control Panel, programs, found the game and hit delete. That didn't work. I used the help function on the Fallout 3-pack disc and it said to delete the file in C:\Program Files\Blackisle. I did that, reinstalled it, and it said "file could not be found" Files were still on the disc, and i don't think it relates to the problem mentioned in the FAQ. Please help because i love Fallout 2 and can't install it:( Im running Windows 7, Fallout 2. the only mod i have is Killaps PATCH (not the Project. I worship you, dude) im sorry for being n00bish, im new to this.
 
Can you maybe try a manual install, as described in the stickied thread?

Also, look in the master_path and critter_path sections of your fallout2.cfg (open with Notepad), they should either point to an existing file on the hard disk, or a path to the file on the CD.
