To Negotiator and anyone else who is wondering. The part where you were talking about a fallout shelter underneat a hotel does inFACT exist!
The fallout shelter that you were most likely referring to is currently located underneath (and not so underneath) the Greenbriar Hotel in Greenbriar county West Virginia. In the beginning, it was considered to be a "second" White House for the president in such case of a nuclear attack. Just recently it was voted on whether or not to turn the whole thing into a huge casino. Fortunately, that vote did not win. I've been there myself and have seen all of the inside (well, almost). There is a room for virtually everything the US goverment could have needed. It was pretty impressive to have seen it all for myself.

Don't be mistaken, however. It wasn't a bomb shelter. The door that was leading to the bunker was only a 6 ton blast door (which was really awsome when it closed. It sounded like thunder going off right beside your ear). If possible by anyone here, I suggest you pay a visit to the Greenbriar hotel. It's well worth the trip!
