really dumb question about modding a new weapon

First time out of the vault
if I wanted to make a new image for a new weapon, do I have to make the image, or could I use one from the internet?
 
If you edit the image from the internet to the right file format, you can use it.
 
Take any picture and make it smaller (about the same size as the other guns) and then delete the background from around the image.

Then use Frame Animator to add the new image and save it as FRM
 
I have a question about how to edit weapons in FO2!
I get this friggin error whenever I save and play my proto!!
I use the empty block at the end of the item!!
I use mapper 2

Make the following folder structure C:\Fallout2\dev\proto\scenery critters tiles and others, to your drive where Fallout is installed.
Set the librarian=1 in Fallout mapper cfg this will help you just don't forget to make your new protos read only otherwise you will lost what you created.
 
Nezi don't keep spamming the forum with the same question. Ask it once and wait for an answer. This is an international board with members in lots of different time zones it might take a few hours, it might take a few weeks to get a reply. You won't get one any faster by posting in every thread you can find.
