Remaking the Fallout Demo in FO1

First time out of the vault
So I'm sure a lot of people are aware of the demo for the original Fallout that Interplay released. For those that aren't aware, it was not just a shortened version of the full game, but instead a different game that took place in a town called Scrapheap and revolved around dealing with two gangs that are trying to take control of it. The player character was Max Stone, who is one of the pre-sets for the Vault Dweller in the full version, and there were no customization options available. Even the settings were restricted in the demo (which means you can't set your player to always run, for example).

I was wondering if anyone could try creating a total conversion mod that remakes the demo inside the full version of the first Fallout. I would really like to be able to play the demo, but it only works in Windows 95 and Classic Mac OS. The Windows version, depending on your computer, lags to the point of being unplayable, Mac OS X stopped supporting the Classic environment after 10.4, and reliable emulation software can be a real pain to find and setup for either version.

The Fallout demo is free to download, so there shouldn't be any legal qualms with it. And Scrapheap is basically a slightly altered version of Junktown from the full game, just with different NPCs and dialogue, and since the demo is restricted to the one town, there shouldn't be any worry about having to create an entire world.

Besides, it would also be nice to be able to play the demo in DOS (and by extension, DOSBox) like you can with the full version of Fallout (Interplay once promised that a DOS version of the Fallout demo would be available, but it obviously never saw the light of day).

So if there are any modders in this community that are still working on the first Fallout game, could they consider trying to port the demo into it?
