Definitely, Dove. It's very Dune-esque. I kinda associate it with Starship Troopers and Tremors as well.
The technology reminded me of Starship Troopers or even Starcraft, boxy and metallic, with hard blue flames (when needed). The attitude was right out of Tremors though, cowboys at heart.
Hmm... what else have they done Dove? I'll have to look for it, I loved this video (was watching it in a laboratory class, since it was a slow day, I hooked the computer up to our TV and made a little show for everyone there).
