Russian stuff

I got a catalog that has a lot of old Soviet-era stuff from Russia and some newer stuff from Russia now. What's sad about it all is that much of this stuff was probably plundered from people in Russia who would sell anything at any price for something to live on. Then the company behind the catalog probably charges like ten times what they bought it for at the expense of a failing economy. Hell there's stuff like actual Soviet medals, flags, crafts, land-mine detectors, deep-sea diving helmets, trips to fly an actual Mig fighter jet ($14,000), machine-gun tripods, KGB surveillance equipment, and other fine stuff.

All well, enough complaining, some of this stuff is pretty cool. I'm going to pick up a Fallout Shelter sign they have for $20 and a KGB badge reproduction for $9. Maybe I'll also pick up a "KGB Headquarters" sign and put it on my bedroom door. Fun stuff, fun stuff.

Ah, the evergreen "Fallout Shelters for sale" business...

Well, not actually evergreen, but it's something a lot of Fallout fans would want to get their hands on.

Xotor you must have mis read the one about the MiG fighter

unless it's a model there is no way a mig cost 14 000. Even with the Russian economy in shambles. If there was such a thing it would probably be a scrapped version of the crappy mig21s that no one uses.

>Damn, what catalog is this?

The Sovietski Collection

According to the cover, the website is www.sovietski.com.

Maybe you should buy a pair of East German Stasi "come-along" handcuffs, heh.

I have to wonder what kind of quality some of this stuff is however...

Oh yeah, get this, they're selling control clocks used for launching nukes with launch sequence indicators and a 24-hour face (as opposed to a 12 hour face). They're designed to last 500 years and withstand 10Gs of pressure. Too bad they're so pricey at $350.
