Check the files section, but the biggest reworking of FO2 would be the unoffical patch that (if memory serves me correctly) includes some of the other mods like the CNPCs armour changing their appearance.

MODs

There aren't any real MOD yet. Hopefully they'll come asap. And don't download the patch, there's a new verision of it coming any day, so sit tight :)

mods

Well, there is, as I've played. But I'll play it as soon as the new patch comes.

You have the vertbird MOD, where you can achive the vertbird as a vechile, with some new guys etc.

And you have the 1.05 patch, which has some nice stuff included worth playing, but I wouldn't start with that now, since 1.06 should come anyday. And there, you even have a new location, Abbey, besides many worth-playing stuff.

Why don't you add some mods together and play it "Iron Man" style. As in you only save after game time and not save when you know your ass is grass.

Oh, and I will play again when I get through with the 1.05 patch. Still waiting on patch 1.06...

Does the Unofical patch add "The Abbey"? I read somewhere that someone was planing on adding all the cut items from FO2 - Now that would be a nice mod, and relatively small/easier than a completely new game. Do you know who was doing this?

I had to add the Abbey manually. Though a new patch that added the Abbey, EPA and primitive tribe as well as other new places would be welcomed.

Hell, if Fallout 2 could be remastered and put on a cool DVD like what the Poles did, I'd buy it!!!!

I suggested this as a potential mod for all the new teams starting up. That they add all the cut places into one expansion package.

Any volunteers?

The goot thing is that it is only a few new areas as opposed to a whole new game so it shouldnt take that long

bla bla

For information about 1.06 patch, see the thread at the top of the modding forum. 1.06 will add Abbey, as I've read it. And Celestial, the creator of the MOD said it would be completed in short, but that was for over a month ago, so I begin to wonder.

Anyway, It would be really cool if a MOD like that could be done, with EPA, primitive tribe etc. since it also stick to the original story.

There are at least three Fallout 2 Mods being made: Yurop; Wastes United; and Mutants Rising. I'm not sure of the status of the first two, but Mutants Rising is definately moving right along.

Our most esteemed college from the Mutant Rising project forgot to mention Fan Made Fallout. As if we would be so discourteous.

I havent actually used the unoffical patch yet. Does it add "The Abbey" or this a seperate mod, or will it be added to the next version of the patch?

Its just that I would be interested in making a mini-mod that added 1 new area altered another map and added quests to 2 towns realted to the new additions. The 'new' area will actually be an extension to an existing location and all going well the whole mod will tie seamlessly into the existing FO2 game.

I have the design document more or less completed and a new critter in progress (this might take me a few weeks to complete as it a big one with lots of animations). Thens it just a small map and scripting to do (which I dont know how to do either yet :) )

Though this is an in between job as most of my time is spent on MR at the moment

Cool, that would be welcome :) Well, 1.06 will add Abbey as a location, I'm not sure with the others, maybe later.
