Same old problem

First time out of the vault
Well let's see...
First, I'd like to tell everyone i've read every topic i could find about graph problems... Although some of 'em had solutions to my problem, none of them worked.

I tried to install Fallout 2. The file opens, but everything goes blue. Damn blue screen. Ok, let's search NMA... Allright! A manual installation. Done that. Cool, Now I can watch the intro, and that stuff... but... when the menu should appear, 2 things happened: The first time i opened the game, the colors inverted. Came back to NMA, tried win 95 comp, also tried win98... 256 colors... all the options, actually. They ALL gave me the same problem, but, instead of reversed colors, (And here comes THING number 2) they all gave me a Green screen. That's right, no more blue screen, but now i have a green one.

AND I also tried Fallout 1. Had it already installed. Same problem.

As i said earlier, i've read every help i could. None could really help me.

If you need some of my PC's data, i guess i could try to find it. I don't really know how is it called or how old it is... and, hell, i don't even know it's sister's name... but, as i said... if you tell me where to look, i can tell youi some of the... is specifics the word?

All i know is that with the same pc, but with win98se, i could play fallout without a problem.

I hope someone can help me out, i'm storytelling fallout (PnP) and i'd like to check some things about the game itself...

HAve you disabled any graphics cards or decreased hardware acceleration? If so, undo that. It might help, although you'll probably be stuck with blackouts.

If you haven't yet, go try that.

I had tried disabling the graph card... but how do i decrease the hw acceleration?

Look for the Dxdiag utility in the Control Panel or somewhere. Typing "dxdiag" in the Run window should work. Then go to the sound tab.

So, has there been any new insights on this problem (the turning green or odd colors after intro movies)?

I'm having the same problem all these people. And been playing with it and reading posts for hours now (literally).

You can try all the stuff in the stickies, for instance, and everything noted here. That's all.
