Did you ever watch Star Wars? Same sand people.

Cool sketch, btw.

Edit - Sand Person aka Tusken Raider:

Ah, thanks. Yes, know what you guys mean. Watched the movies. Those dudes made nice howling sounds.

And yes again. Similarities with Fremen/Tusken outfits come from the fact all the mentioned beings live in a desert. Troika's char concept for their postapoc game also bore some traits all these designs have.

Contrarily to popular belief, an uncovered head and a blue spandex outfit aren't exactly the best clothing attributes for desert hikes. ;)

I have wondered if Star Wars' Tuskens are nothing more than cheap science-fiction version of the Tuareg (George Lucus being who he is, that is most likely the case)

By the way, a picture (note distinctive face covering of the Tuareg):

Aren't most alien lifeforms nothing more than cheap science-fiction versions of things that life on our planet?

I would say it depends on the quality of the science-fiction.

Eww... He's got wires sticking outta his throat.
Other than that, well done!

Hell, I hate it when sand gets stuck in my eyes and between my teeth. So it's quite right a decision to wear a gas mask while crossing deserts.

Damn! That was easy...

That reminds me of the "Armor Of God-2" movie featuring Jackie Chan. There he had a very useful water-filled waistcoat.

Wooz that looks great. I am wondering, is that watercolor painting, and are you scanning the images? I used to do tons of artwork but have not done any in years. Do you work with all traditional tools, or do you also use digital tablets and software? I am drooling over the Cintiq 21UX.
