Save game converter(fallout 2)

I have the savegame converter from this website but i can't get it to work. When I run the .exe it says "Cannot find Fallout 2 Savegame directory."

does it have to be in a certain directory before it will work?

i don't think so. I remember that I run that prog from my desktop. does it have the option to manually specify the path for save game directory?

Nope.

this is weird...I patched FO2, tried the savegame coverter, it gave me the error. Then I ran FO2 anyway and tried to load a game and it worked...

so...nevermind!
