save game converter for 1.01

I eventually got the car, just to notice that all I had of it was the trunk, while the front of the car was missing. I looked throught this magnificent site and learned about the patch and the patch converter. So I downloaded them, and patched the game, but my game was version 1.01 and the save game converter doesn't recognise my old saved games.

Any ideas or suggestions anyone?? Do I have to continue without the car for the rest of the old version or is there a way to buypass the car trouble or anything else to make my life happier...
