Save game not loading O.O HELP!!

First time out of the vault
I merilly made my way from aroyyo to the den after I went for a session of gecko hunting with vic and sulik. When I arrived, I was greeted by a black screen, and it crashed. After a reboot, I went and loaded a savegame (aroyyo canyon). I had a little reunion with my black screen friend. I thought this was strange and tried again. Black screen. Now I'm spazzing. It won't load, and I DO NOT WANT TO LOOSE MY GAME!!

Is it correct to assume that you are running the 1.05 unofficial patch?

Hmm... well, I would think it is too early for you to have encountered the "too many items bug" but how much crap do you have on you and your NPCs?
 
Well, I am not sure. Are all your save games acting this way? Does creating a new game do the same thing?
 
Other save game works, but its WAAAY before my other save..what could be wrong :(:(

EDIT #2: WTF!!!! WTF?!?!?!? So, I find myself a savegame that isnt TOO FAR, but still a bit far from where I was, so I decide to play that one if things get too bad. Well, I got tired of waiting and booted up my game, and tried to load
Error loading game, Unable to load.
I stared at my screen. I tried loading every single slot I had. Even the curropted one

WTF!!?!!! IM HAVING A PANIC ATTACK! I have no idea what the hell is happening!!! Im gunna shit myself soon enough!
 
It happens, I've encountered this problem for once, but no second time, you are just too unlucky, man.
 
Well, no idea man. Sounds like some major save game corruption you got there.

My advice: Uninstall the game completely, reinstall it, and then install my patch found in the unofficial path thread. (make sure you check and see whether you are already have 1.02 included in you Fallout 2 installation. If so, then you just need version B of my patch)

Pretty much there is no way to get back your old saves. Even if there is some crazy/obscure way to do it, the amount of time involved would not be worth it at all. Sorry.

UPDATE: After restarting and not shutting off comp, I went through that allocation thing in XP...and now I can load other games..let me try my main one..
UPDATE: Well I'm back to square one...save game 1 still crashes...meh...
 
Stupid question, but did you use Falche? You were interested in it earlier. If you did, it might have invalidated your save game, like I said it had the chance of doing.
 
It would have happened earlier...and it didnt invalidate my other ones so I doubt it..but it is possible.
 
Probably just corruption, on a grand scale. Sorry to say but you gotta be busted back to square one, and dont cheat this time. And if you didn't cheat, try cheating, it might work out better.
 
one word, yes. Just make the character right the first time, and if you screwed up making it, either play on or start anew.
 
If you don't think it's cheating, then it isn't, not for you at least. Technically, it's messing with the game engine. Technically, it's messing with the eninge, but you have to decide for yourself whether or not you think it's cheating.
 
I guess it is sortav cheating..well now I pay for it *sigh*
Anyways I did luckily find a savegame that wasnt TOO far from my lost one. Im just worried that the same thing might happen to that one.
 
You know, most of the problem would have been easily fixed from the start if someone had bothered to read the stickied posts.
