First time out of the vault
Hello everyone I have a huge problem here goes. I was downloading a couple of mods for Fallout 2 and I installed them and all but then I got rid of them so there not in the game anymore but the problem is now when i try to save a game it gives me a message about how i cannnot save. I have uninstalled and everything but the message keeps coming up. Any suggestions what i should do im desperate

Try this, uninstall, delete the \program files\interplay folder and check the registry for entries about Fallout 2 and delete that also then install..

I'm surprised Odin didn't catch onto this earlier. This forum isn't for mods, as the forum descriptions and sticky posts both describe iwhat should and what shouldn't be posted here.

Actually Rosh, he had a technical problem with Fo2 after he had removed the mods... hence the reason I didn't say anything..

Actually, the problem was still related to mods, as the mods could have had something to do with the errors in the first place. They didn't fully or properly uninstall, and that is exactly what was prescribed - a more effective method of uninstalling the mods.

No worries now, but just for future reference so it is clear. :)

The gameplay and tech help forum is for the base game and issues relating to the base game only. Anything with modifications done with it should be put in front of the modders eyes in the modding forum so they or their peers can offer more help. That's why we have the forums split. There's people who like to do modifications and know it well, and then there's those who are very knowledgeable about the base game, like Per. It also keeps the troubleshooting sorted to the right place.

You are of course correct, but if I may...

Perhaps people are misguided, because they read "If you're having problems playing any of the Fallout RPGs or have a technical problem with them, we might be able to help you. Or you might help others.." and they see "This forum is for modding-specific questions, ideas, help with installing mods and project announcements. If you have an issue with a mod, post about it here." they may consider the former the correct place to post, not the latter, because they generally consider modding forum to be adressed solely to modders.

I submit unto thee, that perhaps it'd be judicious to create separate "mod projects/announcements" and "mod tech and support" forae ? Or improve forum descriptions a bit?
