Would be really useful during bartering. Say you've got 3 npcs with you and a 4th has been left behind somewhere, when you go into the bartering screen, you should have the ability to confer with your npcs and see what they are carrying and pool resources. I hate having to talk to every character and drag each item to my carry space just to find I can't carry everything I want to barter! ahgaahg.
