Shadow Vault Review

Slaughter of Strategycore.co.uk informed me of a new review of Shadow Vault, here's a snibblet from it:
While the game strives to pick up where Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel left off, it does a pretty bad job of it. It tried, and falls flat. I'd stick to waiting for Fallout 3 (if/when it ever comes out). It tries to copy Fallout in most every aspect, from graphics, to interface, to a replacement for the PiP (you have a diary), etc, however, while giving Mayhem credit for trying, I'd have to say that this game is actually a disappointment, considering what it could have been.
Wow, just wow.....

Thats one of the worst reviews I've ever read.

Do they even know what RTS means? How can it be RTS "Like fallout" and have turns? What do First Person Shooters have to do with anything? And why the Hell is "almost up to par" with Fallout's graphics a good thing?

The game is played in an RTS type setting, each person has Action Points (AP) and can move, or perform actions depending on how many AP's you have left.

So that's what an RTS is!

After you've done all you've wanted, or don't have anymore AP's left, then it's the AI's turn to kill you.

OMG THEYH MADE TEH FUNNY!!!11

This game tries to take the best from RTS games like Fallout and Fallout Brotherhood of Steel (BHoS)

So StarCraft is not the only RTS I liked! There is also Fallout!

The graphics are pretty nice, not state of the art, but seem to have nice high rez graphics, and most of the character models are pretty well done.

Really, this review was written by a 12 year old? So the graphics are pretty nice, but seem to have nice high rez graphics?
Huh?

I'd have to give the game credit however, as it does a very good job of basically copying the Fallout designs, backgrounds, etc for graphics. It's almost up to par with the originals.

Thumbs up for people who don't have the slightest idea what the fuck they are talking about!

I think is a direct result of the new government provided heroine free to druggies in Canada. Otherwise I have no idea.

Yeah, this review sucks. I only mentioned it because it's the first one I've seen. And it was quite amusing reading about Fallout the RTS :). The Amazon one seems good, thanks for the heads up!

Quite the budget release, in all the negative ways it appears. And they are charging forty dollars on Amazon for it?

Anyway, it seems the game and the reviewer are a perfect match.

I've tried the game ... It has nothing to do with RPG, it has nothing to do with Fallout... even with tactics.
"Tactics" in this game is really poor (i don't like tactics but this doesn't mean that i can't decide whether it's good or not ). Your soldiers can do some basic things: walk, shoot, throw a granade. They can't sit, they can't crouch, they can't lay down ... they can do nothing.
Actually it looks more like an "action turn-based something shitty".
I'm not a writer, so i wont write how terrible this game is;] Maybe it will find some fans (I'm almost positive it will and maybe lots of them), but I don't think that there wouls be much among F1,2 fans ...
By the way it's really annoying, when you must run with 12 people, controlling them one by one, through the whole map ( thanks it was not so large ) to the exit point (by the way still in turn-based mode, it's actually the only mode in this game)... and then to find out that you forgot to kill a rat somewhere ... so you need to run (turn by turn) and find it.

If you don't like turn-based hack'n'slash, then don't try this game;]
