Should I get the ultimate edition or standard?

Okay, pretty soon I'm going to get a PS3 and I was going to get New Vegas for it. But my question was if I should get the standard game by itself and just buy the DLC separately on the Playstation Network, or just get the Ultimate Edition which already includes it. I'm asking this because I'm wondering if the Ultimate edition has more bugs/crashes/lags more often than the standard edition for the PS3.

Can anybody who maybe owns and has played both PS3 versions tell me how each version plays? Should I get the standard edition because it maybe plays better despite spending more money on the DLC?
 
Ultimate. PS3 version isn't the best though. Do you own a decent pc?
 
Nah, I don't I'm afraid. I do have a PC version of the game which I installed but unfortunately it doesn't run so well on my computer
 
Pity about the PC. BTW, it can be cheaper to build a really good PC than to buy one, if you want to go that route.

Get the Ultimate Edition. The DLCs for New Vegas are worth it.

Build a PC!? Man, I don't know anything about PC's. I don't even know how a PC works, let alone build one. But yeah, I'm going to get the Ultimate Edition. It would be a waste of money to buy the standard edition and pay £20 for the add-ons...
 
Frankly I think you should get the standard version and no DLCs. :\ With the Ultimate Edition the odds of the game running randomly like a slideshow after are a certain number of hours are much higher. :\

I've done a little research and apparently there a few things I can do to make the game run more smoothly. First off, I have to turn off auto save, no big deal anyway, it got on my nerves having the game pause for a few seconds whenever I entered a new area.

Second, I have to not save over a previous save, but save over a new empty file everytime. A little annoying, but still, it's not that hard to do. I'll just use 4 different save spaces and everytime I save, I save to the next until I go back to the first after I delete it
