*sigh* Vista Troubles

I got fallout 2 t'other day, and installed it on my slightly crappy laptop with Vista. It installed fine, but when I click play, I get the message

Application Error:
LLZIP16 caused a General Protection Fault in module FALLOUT2.EXE at 0001:2B7C
Choose close. LLZIP16 will close.


And the game won't start. Being a n00b to this sort of thing (ie. computers) I don't have a clue what that means. I trawled the forums for answers, but none came. Help! I want to play my game, it looks so cool!
