Just browsing around, and caught sight of zero-x's vault's thread. Aparently idiots also post faster, as well as breed faster. Still, it's good to see Roshambo can still law down the law like no one else. Reminds me of the good old days *sigh*. Which brings me to my point. I just finished Parasite Eve (and am working on the EX game now), and have an idea for Fallout 3's setting: you guessed it. Fallout 1 & 2 take place in California, Fallout Tactics takes place around Chicago, why can't Fallout 3 take place in New York? Just to compair with Parasite Eve, if New York with everyone evacuated is that creepy, imagine how it would be with everyone dead... one other thing, some location in Fallout 3 should have been Neutron bombed, imagine Albany, for example, the entire city intact (aside from weather damage), totally empty. To maximize the effect, maybe Fallout 3 should take place before Fallout 1. One final thing (yes this has turned into a rant instead of a sigh), something is missing from the Fallout scenery: when an atomic bomb is dropped, the flash creates such intence light and heat that it blackens much of what it hits. If it is blocked by something, say, a person, the blocked light creates an outline. The effect was seen everywhere in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, creating the famous ghost images of people that no longer existed. A few liberally spread ghost images in the scenery would add to that devastatingly bleak feel so powerfully used in Fallout 1, and so absent in Fallout 2...
