So, inspired by a topic I saw in the order, what do you guys think make up a cool signature? Pictures, catchy phrases, caustic remarks? What?

Also, I decided to add another crazy dancin guy to my signature. What do you all think?
 
Someone had that dancing fatboy in his sig on DAC (not sure if it was you, but it's been there a while). I liked the old one by itself better, because while the new one is amusing at first, it gets old quickly.
 
Gir = Pwn. The other thing...nah. I've seen it on someone else's already.

But any sig that isn't obnoxiously huge, visually distracting(blinking and such), or overly angsty is fine by me. You know the one's I'm talking about. The one's who think quoting J.R.R. Tolkien makes them philosophers. Same with the ones with song verses; not clever, not unique, not entertaining.

But again, I must reiterate-- Gir = Pwn.

NOOO! Since FO2 won the title fight vs BG2 I find that the dancing fat kid is very fitting!

I think that one's sig should somehow represent him, mean something for him, not necessarily be entertaining or clever, it should be kind of custom, but after all it's each person's God given right to have the sig they like... :roll:
 
I think text is fine to have in a sig but many people have these huge, unsightly pictures in their sigs. I don't come to the forums to look at bad graphics, I come to read bad ideas....
 
Ok, having a picture that takes up one screen by itself is not such a good idea... but aside from that and offensive pictures and/or texts I think a sig can consist of mostly anything.

That pretty much includes any siggy that takes up most of/all of the screen (depending on your monitor, of course). *cough* eom *cough*
 
I don't mind anything people do as long as it is short.

My sig provides the image of a scene to think about when ever I say something particularly stupid.
 
I came to dislike graphic signatures. Typically they distract me from reading the message itself, although there are exceptions.
 
My opinion is that your signature should be something related to you or to the place where you are posting. Since its a forum related to fallout I think its nice to quote a character from that game. But its up to you. No big deal anyway. Since its not offensive.
 
I usually dislike banners, anything larger than 200x400 sucks a bit as well.

I find people who spell assholes assh@les to be pretty stupid, but whichever. Most quotes aren't that snazzy.

I usually like quotes that don't try to be philosophical or political or tuff etc. It doesn't bother me much unless it's large.
 
I think it's okay to put pretty much anything into your sig, except for big pictures or FUCKING SWASTIKAS!
