Silent Storm demo impressions

Well I've played the Silent Storm demo and I must say that this can be a winner, it's got destructable enviroment, quite good graphics, TB and good playability..

Some of the negative things I found in the demo was:

-Camera keeps changing when it's the enemies turn
-those little bubbles that indicates the enemy was a little annoying.

Other than that it's really worth the 200MB download..

I remember back in the day I'd go to Lord Soth and get awesome demos for measely kilobytes! Kilobytes I'm telling you! Damn this dialup connection!

Then again, PC Gamer just replaced their demo CDs with demo DVDs. The times, they are a-changing.

I spent last night playing this demo and was quite pleased. Aside from the absurd grenade throwing range I think the game is very good. I'll be buying it when it comes out.

Yeah, that one other thing I've found to be annoying and not gaming-realistic but man these graphics are incredible. I especially love the animations when the soldiers die and when you can destroy the enviroment..

I looked at the various grenades and there are some light weight HE grenades that have a decent throwing range.

The nice thing about 3D is that we aren't stuck looking at only 2 or 3 death poses, in 3D the bodies just sprawl where they fall.

Last night a wounded boche hiding around the corner suddenly fell over dead. My girlfriend looked at me oddly when I exclaimed "cool, he bled to death!"
