Well this is not Fallout related newsbit, but I know how many of you who love X-Com/Jagged Alliance/Silent Storm so I decided to post about this. Evidently the upcoming addon to Silent Storm called Silent Storm Sentinels is scheduled for a release on the 4th of September 2004.
Spotted at RPGDot.

Considering you have a hangar with Panzerkleins slots at your base in the demo, I guess there are still in the add-on.

Woops, that slipped my mind.

Yeah, panzerkleins are what stopped the game from sitting with the first x-com on the high throne of Tactical supremacy.

by the way let me make a little adjustement to my sig.

Talking of which, yeah, I really think dogs are very important, but not nearly as important as the pirates and the thong-warriors of the Brotherhood of Akimbo Handguns (BOAH for short, also the noise German teenagers make when they are astonished by something, as in "Boah, ey!"). To me, that really is what makes a game Fallout. That and killing super mutants with plasma guns and selling the loot to buy some hookers.

...

Why are you giving me that funny look?
... and why are you fiddling with THAT thing there?

..

Ey! Stop hitting me! That hurts.
YOWCH! I don't think that's meant to fit in there!

You know how Power Armor was supposed to make infantry walking tanks? Panzerkleins expand on that concept by making them less armor-like and more tank-like.

They're fun at first, but their presence overcomplicates the team dynamic. You need Panzerkleins to fight other Panzerkleins, because even though energy weapons will penetrate enemy panzerkleins and damage the pilot, if an enemy panzerklein opens fire first you're pretty much fucked.

I don't know jack-boots about SS.

So Google me this:

... but then we discovered that the secret organization had been building armored suits called "panzerkleins." There are Allied and Axis panzerkleins, so, presumably, the secret organization is pitting the two sides against one another. We were actually able to use the panzerkleins after discovering a few in a warehouse. These suits of mobile armor seem extremely powerful, and they can even be equipped with special machine guns, rocket launchers, melee weapons, and other offensive gear. ...

!POW-AHH A-RMORE MANNZZ!

An' if there's a cameo appearance of T. Pinchen's 'Rocketmench', then
the literati will just - swoon - in wet anticipation!

But, I'm just shocked, shocked, that Fallout aficionados would have such a allergic reaction to Power Armor!

Pre-post-apocalyptic-power-armor; O.K. it might have worked in an Indiana Jones Movie, but I see the prevailing aesthetic, this day, is for kosher Nazi's, and not Waffen SS in the can.

Waffen-spam?

At least this one isnt "ww2 battles" you work for a secret organization fighting terrorism (kinda like shield vs Hydra lol ) so I can ignore the presence of the walking tanks, which are part of why i disliked the first one.

Holy Stan Lee!

OHH MY GAWG you mean like "SGT. FURY AGENT OF SHIELD"!?
