Silent Storm

Has it been released in the US yet? I know Odin has played it and has good things to say about it, and I thought the demo was pretty good.

I played it all the way through on the allied campaign last year. Probably one of my favourite games so far, good combat and stuff. Pretty darn dope.

I've been playing a lot of Fallout Tactics and Jagged Alliance 2, so I'm really looking forward to Silent Storm. The demo is a lot of fun.

Excellent game, the engine is awesome (ragdoll effects, destroyable terrain/buildings)..

What's really funny is that you now can go any way you want in the game, I had a task to clear out a castle and capture a guy. instead of going around the building and such, I just blew a huge hole in it ..LOL

S2 is NEAT! :D As Odin says, the engine is just stunning! In one of the missions I killed a officer in his office. Then I closed the doors and placed a mine behind it. I just reached to duck behind the officer's desk when the first guard stormed in. BOOM I tell ya! :D Half the house was gone, and so was all the guards. Gotta love that game!

I picked this game up Friday, and it's the best combat game I've played since JA2.

Greatest moment so far - on an assault on this little house, I had my team surround it. My scout was walking past a window when he heard movement inside, so I had my soldier sneak through the window on the other side. The axis guy was facing the opposite way, so my soldier (Jerzey, I think) moved up a couple paces until he was spotted. The axis guy turns around, and Jerzey unloads a full clip into him with a Bren gun blowing him through the window and about 5 feet backwards, and it looked like it came straight from a movie. I saw that I went

.

Second best so far - my genadier throwing a grenade through a window and having half the house collapse. Awesome game.

It does look good, doesn't it? I'll give this one a go if I'm not "over" WWII tactical shooters when I finish H&D2.

Great game, had lots of potential, but they slaughtered the voice acting. Why? Oh why couldn't they hire english-speaking people to do the voices, or at least correct the horrible spelling and grammar mistakes in the briefings and such? I've killed too many "Ger-mans". Quite embarrassing really.

Otherwise, great modding abilities. I'm planning to do a Fallout Tactics mod. Anybody wanna join in? If so, PM me or smthing.

One last thing. I'm at this panzerklein factory in Switzerland, and I'm suppose to capture the owner of the factory and some papers about something, but I have found neither. I have been told that the owner is the dude with the special panzerklein you see in the cutscene, but I killed him and nothing happens. Any help anyone?
