Interesting idea, I always wanted to play a game about Plisken. It will obviously be an action game, hopefully they will add some stealth/adventuring too.

Just wish there was more about the game.

Yeah, I found out about that when I bought the new "Escape from New York" DVD set. It looks pretty cool, but isn't due out till 2005!

crap you're right...that's so wierd, saying 2005 is next year.

anyways, check out this interview about the game:

HomeLAN - How much input will John Carpenter and Kurt Russell have in the development of the game?

Andre Emerson - John Carpenter, Kurt Russell and Debra Hill own the Snake Plissken character, which is a very unique and ideal situation. There are no studios to deal with, if we want to do something with Snake, we talk directly with the creators. John and Kurt are also creatively involved and want to ensure that we create the best Snake Plissken experience. We met with them recently to review potential game mechanics, story concepts and other creative elements. They offered lots of great ideas both for gameplay and narrative direction.

Damn straight, I wonder what engine they will use.

*crosses fingers* Kill.switch, Kill.switch, Kill.switch.

Looks like this may be the game to get next year, Kurt Russell is doing the voiceover, and has creative control. So no way will Snake be misrepresented.
Don't tempt fate
At least IPLY isn't doing it.

Hmm, sounds good... I wonder if there will be any bullet time involved in the shootouts, I really love that feature, it worked great in Max Payne! And they sound pretty determined to make a great game so I'm looking forward to it.

 Haven't they ruined enough games for this millennia?

It's possible they will, it's getting more common.

I'm really hoping they use the Kill.switch engine, it was quite realistic in it's portrayal of actual gunfights.

Kill.Switch had great combat, but nothin' else :?
If it had a bit 'o sneaking added it would be fine.

BTW i just watched Escape from New York and the ending was great :D Any other movies about this guy?

That's why I think that maybe the Kill.Switch engine might be used. It could possibly have been a test to see how people reacted to the combat. Then later add a good story, and good characters (Snake Plissken).

Snake isn't in Big Trouble in Little China and They Live, but those movies rule hard.

Ive seen Big trouble in little china, but i might search for They Live.
Whaz it about? Sounds like a zombie movie :P
