So called "Experence Trick"

Just in case people missed it on the way in today, at BigKid.com.au they mention a small trick. Since the experence that the party shares is distributed eveny amongst the party, if u killed 5 of the people off, 1 person would gain all of the experence and just shoot up levels. As far as i can tell, that does not work. I killed everyone off but Strom (i use him the most anyways) and i hacked my way though the level. I gained no extra experence, and i just got to play the level with 1 person.

Did i miss somthing with that trick, or was it just "ingenious" thinking on their part (with just a tad wrong with it). Whatever insight u have, i'll be glad to hear.

i haven't tried to figure this out, but Fallout 2 was not functioning like Baldur's gate. If you get 6.000 exp in BG, and have 3 party members, each would get 2.000. but in fallout, each part member receives 6.000

it would be logical that this was left intact from fallout

Actually it would be a bit different.

Fallout didn't have the NPCs level at all, if I remember right.

Fallout 2 had it every so often one of your NPCs *might* level when you do.

I haven't really looked at how FOT does it, but it looks like it's a flat shared from what I heard.

That's what i figured. But, when i tried it, it seems that each person still alive gets a certin amount per kill, no matter how many people u have. I got a level up in the same place that i would otherwise with just one person.

The logic u said makes sence (same thing i figured), but it's diffrent, i guess. Have any of u tried out the "trick" yet?
