First of all I dont understand you guys complaining about user interface, right click and so on... who the hell cares about that, youll get use to this.

I am more bothered by the problems and stupidity of the hole game!!

1. case> two guards standing a feet apart

why does a guard just stand and do nothing, if i shoot his colege a feet apart from him???? with a shotgun!!! he just happened to look the other way so he didnt see what hapened. and even if he did see me then he woul just shot a couple of rounds at me untill i ducked behind the fance so he couldnt see me... and than as if nothing had happened he stood there didnt even go after me.

2. case> i am beeing shot at, at point blank.

The guy shoot me st point blank at least 20 times and i didnt die????

3. why bother sneeking?

The best thing to do is to take Storm, put his HK MP5 to burst fire run like an idiot in the house to the first enemy and start shooting... i finished the first mission in 3 min like that using only storm (and he was just slightly wounded at the end)... EASY STUPID AND BORRING

HAVE NONE OF YOU EVER PLAYED JAGGED ALLIENCE 2 ???? I mean the game could be so much better, this i ll say is a half done product (the demo) that needs still a lot of work on, and the goal should be fight like in JA2.

Usually the ful game IS better than the demo because: A)Its a demo so their just testing. And, B)They look to see if there are any bugs in the game play and AI so it can be tweaked.

"Three guns are better than two."

Plus, the programmers who wrote Jagged Allinace 2 were gods, so how could mere mortals compare with them :)?

Yeah, well, up the difficulty in options. The default is normal which is, I agree, rather easy. But it's supposed to get you into the game. If the game is too hard, then sometimes newbies just run away--literally.

You know? I read so many comments on this board about how great JA2 was and I figured, what the hell, I'll try it out while I'm waiting for the FOT multi demo to come out. Well, I got it all installed and I was so psyched about how cool this was going to be, and, low and behold, there was absolutely no concept of building up a team or logistics management. I was scandalized. I figured I must be missing something. And I still hope I am. But as far as I can see, you create your team on a mission-by-mission basis with absolutely no sense of persistence. I completely lost all interest in the game at that point. Is it just me, or did lots of people find this an absurdly horrible decision on JA2's designers part?

You should spend more time playing JA2 then if you missed the logistics and team building. Although logistics are simplified they are present in the game, you have to secure an income before your initial funds run out and then protect it from the Didreana's forces and it is much more of a concern in the higher difficulty levels.
As for the team building, I always had a group of mercs that would do the fighting and the rest of the mercs would only do the militia training and weapon hauling from town to town. I only replaced mercs when they were killed hiring new mercs before every fight isn’t very cheap since their contract is for a week and you keep on fairing them after few hours the money just flies way.
The best part, and the most important part, is the combat the elegance of the system, implementation and the feel of it is simply divine.

JA2 wasn't perfect, but the way the enemy reacted does seem to be better than that in BOS. BOS has better graphics (which would be expected since its a couple of years newer) and more character/atmosphere. They are different types of games (BOS is much more RPG), but combat-wise they are essentially the same. That is where BOS can learn from JA2. In JA2, if you kill one sentry, every other local sentry will come to investigate, and won't stand around waiting for Storm, etc. to stand up (out of a crouch behind some sandbags) and mow them down with a burst of sub-machine gun fire, only to crouch down again to repeat the process. BOS is still fun, and I'm sure to buy it. But I also want it to be a homerun with more than just the hardcore FO fans; I want it to be a best seller, so that the FO series can continue.

I think the AI and the turn-based mode in FOT are rather crappy. Those were WAY better in JA2.

At least in the pre-relese demo most of the enemies seem to be dumb and blind. I hope this will be better in the final release.

I also don't like that you can't select which character you want to move in turn based mode. O.K. this was the same in FO1+2, but there you had only one character and some computer guided NPC's.
I also miss the 'initiate combat mode' option from Fallout.

RE: so many things are wrong here I hope the full game is be

they did say they were only about 50% done with the ai, and I belive mentioned some of the things you were talking about. as for how easy it is, I'm a hardcore FO fan, and I couldn't get through the first mission - of course I was trying out CTB.
but I was rather disappointed with the way things looked, all the raiders looked like anime characters to me, and the "old junk" that walls and stuff were made out of looked too polished and new, where the rusty stuff was it just looked like brand new and somone spray painted it rust color, where's the dings and bullet holes and broken bookshelves? I know it's too late to change this, but it was almost enough to make me cry. Killing people just wasn't as satisfactory as in FO2 either. I will still definately pick it up, and it looks like a cool game, perhaps just take me awhile to get used to, but I'm sorely disappointed already :(

- This just makes me want to pull out my trusty bozar in shady sands and blow all the cops away.

RE: so many things are wrong here I hope the full game is be

Actually the reason you can't choose who moves when is because of the sequencing. Each character has a sequence value, and some perks and stats increase that. It's a bit like initiative. This way, your faster characters get to move before the slower characters. This is the same way it was in both Fallout's and I think it makes a lot of sense.

And I'm sure (or at least REALLY hoping) that the AI will be better in the full release, but even if it isn't, multiplayer will rock.
