Some new textures and changes (power armors)

Ravager

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
I’ve done a lot of changes to some textures and I’m making a big mod pack that will include my work along with the work of other modders.

But first I wanted some people to take a look at my T51-b retexture and tell me what they think.

As you have probably noticed. A lot of those darn bolts where removed by me. I don’t remember there being so many of them on the T-51b. It actually looked really advanced (and all the parts integrated) in the FO1 intro - http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=EqiMS_0yto8

Far more then the one we see in Fallout 3. Perhaps sometime in the future we will get a new more accurate model. I certainly would give it a try if I knew how to adjust that model.

Of course this texture is a mix of the T51-b’s we see in the intro and the one we see in the FO1 game (like the one rombus wears). I tried combining both looks with the help of the t51b_bos_armor mod ( http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=142 ) made by Hmudaa. I used his/hers texture that I’ve modified and later I merged it with the BOS-W01 Power Armor Texture ( http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=698 ) made by BounceDK. I will modify it today and remove most of those nasty bolts it has.

You might also want to know that there are 2 different types of models still in game along with the one Outcasts use. Here's some more screenshots.

This is a T51b with the T-51a's (that's how I called the new Power Armor - if you have better ideas feel free to post them here) helmet.

Btw. I tried and tried but I could not change the glove texture to green like in the original power armor. Does anyone know how to adjust that little problem? I also edited them using Gim and their bigger now. About 4MB... I'm not sure if this is normal and besides it's my first mod - that's why I'm asking all those questions. Any help would be appreciated.

And one other thing. I'll probably include some new music in my mod. How about (this might sound stupid)... Elvis?

And how about Boogie Woogie Country Girl by either Big Joe Turner or Bob Dylan.

I don't know, but it looks kinda like it was made of cardboard boxes...

But good, keep it improving please!

Well only 1 suggestion the t51b looks to new it suppose to be old and used...

That's what I'm actually trying to avoid. Considering the Enclave gets all the new Advanced models.

Ask yourself this. If the Fallout world was real and you where a BOS Paladin would you rather wear a rusty, craptasticly looking Power Armor that would probably get easily penetrated or a somewhat restored version. Re-painted Brotherhood style and probably upgraded with the technology the BOS managed to gather over the years in order to match the Enclave armors.

And hey stop complaining. That’s the only T51-b model ingame. And like I said it’s not perfect but I hope someone improves it in the future. Near future… hopefully.

@Public its a wasteland so maybe they did use cardboard boxes...

Skatman... doesn’t sound too atmospheric.

And they where actually built during the war.

Yee but for my taste Skatman is better...

Again about armor...looks bos in f3 is band of loosers they dont go resources to fix every armor to make it tip top...

Eh... I'd rather stay with the early 20th century music.

After so many years and taking over so many military instalations? Nah. Besides it does not take much to patch up a few holes and get rid of the rust and put a little pain on.

Even the Metal Armors MK II where new looking.

Besides they don't look "that" new. Believe me.

A before and after screenshot would be kind of nice, but overall, I like the way that it fits better into the Fallout series. Not that it looks any cooler, though.
