I know this is long but you need to understand what I want and my situation is. If you cant be bothered to read or reply to this then fair play to you, I understand, but if you can then I'd appreciate any feedback.
For the past two months all I've done is work, eat, drink, sleep and crash my computer system because I cannot get off the mapper/editor. To say the least, Ive changed most of the game. The redding mines? - expanded, new tunnels, caves and, yes of course more annoying wandamingos. Navarro? expanded massively to include a Vertibird that you can 'hi-jack' to a small off-shore base that goes down to the sea bed and... to an underwater vault. New Reno? - More gangs, drugs, money and expanded casinos. Well, I could go on. Basically I've made it easier in some respects 'like placing the car parts in smittys lockers and making items more easily available. BUT it is not easier! For example there is a 'pit' in the Arroyo Temple which you cannot get out of until the two cannibals there are dead... unfortunately these 'cannibals' use the bridgekeepers character body and wield waki... (goddamn) them knifes the yakuza carry. So even with the Bozar, Power Armour Mark 2 and the Hintbook you would be hard put to, to survive!
Well, enough of what Iv'e been doing. The thing is this, I am addicted to editing and modding games, yet I cannot write one line of even basic programming code and so I'm very limited as to what I can do. Firstly I'll ask this - how do I go about making my own maps that can be got to from the 'World Map' screen? I can read instructions on how to do some of the scripting and do it myself if I know how, or even reading an example of it. This is my main CURRENT interest, but all in all, if I want to start scripting/modding properly how do I start/what do I need to know?
One more final point to make - I'm on a VERY low budget so if I'm gonna have to start shelling out big-time then i'm gonna have problems.
(P.S) Oh yeah, how do I put stuff Iv'e made/modded out for people to download and try? Obviously They wont be that great mods as there is only the games scripts used, but I'd like some feedback on my ability if you know what I mean.
Cheers, Fallz.
