a few random encounters i thought of if we MUST be in the west
1. area 51 with a alien space ship you could go into and inside the base it looks like the one on independence day and it saves itself on the map like the cafe of broken dreams
2.a ghost town from the wild west
3.a saiyin pod off of dragon ball-z with a suit of saiyan armor inside
4.the lab where they built dark angel
5.the saucer section of the enterprise-d(THAT YOU COULD GO INSIDE THOSE ASSHOLES WOULDNT LET YOU GO INTO THE ALIEN SHIP OR THE CRASHED SHUTTLE)
6.THE TOWN OFF OF JOHN CARPENTERS VAMPIRES WHERE IT ENDED AT THE JAIL
7.a random town that has about 16 buildings you can go into and buy the best stuff in the game and a bad section of town where you can find ruins that make fallout great

So you think that BIS should keep cramming more pop-culture references and more uber-equipment into the game?

Of course. Perhaps people might not mind that the game was buggy and the given reason for another patch not being made of 'the lead programmer left' could be done. Oh, wait, they tried that with Fo2.

Didn't work.

Okay, I find this guy's mere *presence* incredibly annoying. Oh, the "assholes" wouldn't let you enter the crashed alien spaceship (which had NOTHING to do with the real game in the first place)? Hey buddy--IT WAS AN EASTER EGG!!! IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REAL GAME! What made that even worse was that you got a really powerful weapon with it. Unfortunately, that meant that too many people went looking for the Alien Blaster and it really took the idea of "Easter Egg" from the encounter.

Yeah i do think they should but just for the fun of it though. The fact that pop culture references are interesting and intriguiging help the game play enourmously in my opinion.

hey roshambo sorry i was so jerky at the other suggestions i was having a rough week still am but im sorry dude my life sucks but im usually not so angry but im having a rough time but anyways sorry i was an asshole i hope you forgive and forget i was pissed with my job well cya rosh

I disagree. Pop-culture references really don't serve to do anything but break up the atmosphere and the story. On top of that, they date the game a great deal.
