SOund Problems w/FO 1&2 in XP

I've managed to get both games to play under XP but after a minute or two, the sound FX channels drops out. It comes back if I exit to the menu screen, but drops again in the game.

Have tried changing the compatability to no effect.

Am Running:

Humungous install
P4 @3.06GHz w 512 Mram
XP
Sound Blaster Live! w/current drivers

Any ideas?

Try to install newest DirectX, that allowed the game to run, so it could help.

Thanks Rohan, tried it but no luck. ALready had Dx 9.0 and installed 9.0b. but no love.

Try running it with Win98 compatibility mode. That should do the thingie.
