Speaking Gibberish

I just started Playing Fallout a couple days ago. I'm in the Hub, I have just killed Dekker. But My charachter is speaking gibberish so i can't progress any further. My character screen tells me I'm iradiated do i got some of the anti radiation stuff. Took that waited a couple of hours but I still speak nonsense. So maybe it isn't the radiation, I don't know how I got iradiated anyway.

Any ideas how to cure this, because I can't go any further right now. And the Doctor in the hub says there is no cure for idiocy, so he's no help.

Sounds like your INT fell below 4. Maybe you are under Buffout or Psycho effects (don't remember which one lowers INT), or under a withdrawal from Mentats?

Um, if it's not an after-effect from Psycho or Mentats, then the only cure would be to restart the game and create a character with an Intelligence greater than 3.

Either that, or go on a murderous rampage for the rest of the game.

The *only* reason you could possibly be speaking gibberish is low INT. Why don't you give us some more information? What was your INT originally? When did it change? Have you taken any drugs? Are you addicted?

I took psycho during the fight with Dekker. Do I just wait a while for it to wear off? Does psycho make me irradiated? Thanks for the help.

Psycho decreases your Int for a while but after few days it should be okay.

Yes.

No, it just makes you stupid for a while. Hard to think straight when you're all psyched-up on chems.
