Only now with a GTX 560 TI.

Old shit is ooooooold. It does run a lot of games surprisingly well, though. Still not sure if I'm going to get Fallout 4 and run it on the lowest settings possible, just to see how bad the game really is. Firsthand, that is.

Here are my specs, nothing that special but I can max out newer games with it without any issues.

Says my 980 Ti has only 2GB for some reason even though it has 6GB. Hmmm weird.

"Nothing that special," he says nonchalantly about a four figure GPU. :smug:

Don't know what's up with Speccy, but the GPU is actually 6GB and the RAM is DDR4.

Four figure just means it costs at least a thousand bucks (1000, four figures). I don't know what they cost where you live, but where I am a GTX 980 Ti is a high-end GPU.

I only paid $650 for mine, it's an amazing piece and even had a backplate. Is the processor you have good? Thinking about upgrading from the one I currently have. Had it for around three years now.

It's more than I need really. Haven't encountered anything it couldn't handle with ease yet, but I haven't actually played very many performance-intensive games since I last upgraded.

Your system should still run games better than current gen consoles. You always get much more bang for your buck in midrange hardware.

It does run games surprisingly well. Even before I upgraded my GPU it ran Skyrim pretty well at medium settings. I'm guessing upgrading to a GTX 560 TI will have made my system a bit more relevant, but I don't see myself running current gen games like The Witcher 3 on this system. Seems like a bit of a gamble to try and buy it only to find out it might not even be playable.

I'm not very interested in currentgen AAA games anyway, so it's not really a problem, though. I have to say, looking at all these fresh new systems you guys have makes me a little bit jelly, though.

Also, when I got my GTX 560TI I was pretty stoked about nVidia Shadowplay, but I still run Vista, so I can't even use that. :(

Why is my PC so oooooooold?

Check out some of the midrange hardware on Newegg whenever you've got some money saved for upgrading. You should be able to get a GPU capable of exceeding 60 FPS with current AAA titles for under $200 US. Though GPU probably isn't what you'd want to upgrade next.

You buy your stuff from Newegg too?
I need to get a new processor like yours(I was originally planning to get it but I just wanted other people's opinions first) since trying to play in the Geothermal Valley area and to a lesser extent SC in that new Tomb Raider game can get some framerate drops like crazy. I would get my new processor soon if I wasn't finishing saving up to get corrective eye surgery.
What type of cooler are you using for your processor?

No. I would if I could - they have pretty much the best deals available - but they don't ship much stuff to where I live. :-(

Corsair H100i GTX.
Silly question, do you get good idle and load temps? Oh I had no idea they didn't ship much stuff to your area.

My system is pretty beefy and matches Lanfears almost perfectly.

Along with the other two in the tread my 980ti is the 6GB. It's the ASUS Strix, here's a link to the Newegg site where I got it. The storage is 500GB and 2000GB respectively. I have the Corsair AX series 760W PSU. I use the Corsair H100i for my CPU cooling needs and does a damn fine job. My case is the Phanteks Enthoo Primo, really good case with amazing airflow and the case itself is massive, nother link if you want to look.

Spent a huge chunk of change on this puppy and maxes out everything I have thrown at it. Witcher 3 along with Hairworks on max which brings many computers to their knees, plays XCOM 2 at 60 fps with all settings maxed, I will be trying Battlefield 4 which is regarded as the "staple" for PC bench marks. I built this thing last October and has run with minimal issues thus far.

I have an Phanteks Enthoo Pro case and that thing is huge and amazing for airflow, best damn case I've ever invested in. Low price too, had it for around 2 years.
How do you manage to keep your fins on the radiator clean? I always manage to have dust inside the fins even after tackling it with compressed air.

Well considering the vent on the top comes off I can wipe the dust off if when I need, normally I just use some canned air. This damn thing has filters everywhere, bottom, sides, top, front. Cleaning this thing isn't much of an issue because of that.
