Specific skills lowered?

I've just noticed that five of my six (except the leader) team members have their melee and hand to hand stats lowered greatly. In red type. All other stats are ok.

None are radiated, drugged, etc. All are standing.
I've just entered Peoria and have travelled back out and in. Still red numbers.


I searched the archives here and couldn't find an answer. Do any of you know what may be the problem?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-03 AT 09:02PM (GMT)]It sounds like you have been taking drugs of some sort. Afterburner gum, healing bags, mentats, etc all have aftereffects like that.
Also if the bugs or scorpions bit you, they will poison you. I also think there may be some radiation down there too.

I have none of those symptoms. The box in the character screen shows no radiation and I haven't taken any drugs. Haven't faught bugs or radscorpions yet.
By checking previous saves I seem to have developed the symptoms during the supply wagon mission. No other saves without the symptoms.

I drove the hummer there, but arrived without it, if that makes a difference.
 
Make you are patched to 1.27 and try reloading to the save before the problem happened. Maybe you can narrow it down.

You've either used chems on them or are using an armour that lowers skills like that..can't remember any other reasons it might lower..

remember even tho it doesn't say they're still drugged, the effects are still there. Try and walk around on the world map a couple of days with the crew and see if the red numbers dissapear.
 
I never take drugs in Fallout games and the highest armour I have is Leather MII. (2 members only)

I'm up to Freeport now with the new team. I'm watching the stats more carefully. I'll report if I find any anything relevant to the condition.

I think I had this problem once, and I think the bad news is that you are going to have to go back and replay from an old save.

What I think happened is that you crawled into a vehicle and that changed your stats.

I did the same as you, no drugs, not poison, no weird effects.

Just another one of those oh so many bugs this game has.
