Stalker pushed back to 2006?

ThEo LaNe informed us that the upcoming post apocalyptic FPS called Stalker might be pushed back to 2006 according to a news post at Oblivion Lost.

Why the latest delay? Do they need time to rebrand the game to D.A.I.K.A.T.A.N.A.: Shadows of Chernobyl?

Cutting all the cool features from the game takes time, too!

I hear they have to redesign all the textures to 8bit and compose a completely new midi soundtrack.
