Stalker question (Can I join a faction?)

Well, I hope there is someone around here that plays Stalker.. in any case, I wonder if it's possible to actually JOIN a faction, so that the grouping changes from "loner" to "Freedom" or "Duty" ?

I'm currently trying to join Freedom, and I have done loads of quests for them!

You can, as long as you didn't do a single quest for the opposite faction.

well, not a single is overstating it. the lowest shitty quests are fine to do IIRC.

but still, 'joining' a faction (if it can even be called that) isn't interesting at all.

Indeed it's not very special nor interesting, but it looks cool having being "Freedom" instead of a "Loner", dontcha think?

In any case, in my recent playthrough of Stalker Oblivion Lost I royally fucked up and had to replay the whole thing

if you have the mod Oblivion Lost, you can add this mod to it(it's a mod to a mod) and it will allow you to join any faction(because you can't in regular oblivion lost)
