Stargate: Atlantis - asking for assistance

First time out of the vault
if anyone watched SG:Atlantis tonight, lemme hear some of your views on it, cuz i was too busy to (moving tomorrow).

the previews didn't get me excited at all, the whole wraith group isn't interesting; but just like ... Games in development... seeing the end result can change a mind or two.
 
watching it as I type, so far... its interesting... new baddies, everyone carries P90s (a plus)

It was a good begining... and the encore is on now... but im in eastern... its 11
 
Luckily I remembered to watch it tonight. :D They have a nice base of operations which means they don't have to go planet skipping to stay alive, thankfully. The whole "we are merely the caretakers for those who sleep" and "they will awaken, all of them" things make for some pretty creepy new enemies. It looks like it might last more than a couple seasons, but we can get a better guess after a few more episodes.
 
I thought it was pretty damn sweet.

You can't really judge a series on a premier, but it has a lot of potential, and I really like the cast.

the LT guy. well The actor himself...Didnt like his interview..way too "your gonna love me no matter what" type personality lol. It hasnt been on yet (30 minutes) so ill have to see how well he acts.
 
What's the deal with the asshole Colonel though? I thought characters like his went the way of the dinosaur.
 
It was pretty good on the whole. I'm not sure I like Sheppard as the lead, though, and the blond Weir was far hotter.

Soldiers like that are only good for one thing in these shows: dying. I'm a little confused as to why the T-1000 would allow himself to be killed, though.

It seems kinda weird that Weir would leave the Stargate Program so soon, but I suppose there needs to be a familiar character to act as a segue.

It'd be neat if the forum had [spoil] tags.

I thought about that, too. And what happened to Hammond? He's not leading SGC, he has nothing to do with Atlantis, and he wasn't even in command of Prometheus in Season 8.

Unless they just absorb age-inhibiting chemicals from human bodies.
 
Well its just that they have jagged pointy teeth, but they ingest through their hands. Why have sharp, pointy teeth if you don't eat meat?
 
Yeah, I understand what you're saying. You aren't supposed to stare at these shows too hard, though. They simply aren't intended to withstand serious scrutiny.
