Just for fun I started a game using only my main character in ctb . The guy is kicking ass. I just run him into the middle of the frey and he blows everyone away!! He is level 17 at coldwater (I don't know if you have to divide hp's with other characters or not, but it seems he's leveling up alot faster.) The other game I was playing in turn based seemed to take forever. Using this one character makes the game seem alot easier.?? Maybe it's just because I don't have to worry about healing other characters. The main character can keep all the stims for himself.:)
By the way, how do you add little smiley face symbols to the messages?

I have 6 characters in my squad, only beause I use them as mules, and because I need their skills.

Stumpy is wortles in combat, but with 180% sneak, and 150% traps he's exelent to plant mines on routes where enemy is patroling... it was fun, but later I used only my character played, as other waited at starting point :)

icons: just click on the Emotion icons short cuts and there is an explanation in there (see it above the post box, red letters and green link?)

what about xp's? If you level up does everyone? Doesn't seem like my other characters change rank, and (this is probably a bug) a really anoying thing, if I put my "pawns" back in the recrutment pool any perks I have given them go away.
:7 :* :9 :'( :o
ok I think I get the symbols.:)

What the heck causes the really weird bugs anyway? Why do some people have certain bugs while others have different bugs? Is it the machine your running it on?

you must learn that neither computer is the same. they're all adifferent. there are no two memory chips that's same.

ie, take Duron. they're all the same, but so different. When you take Duron 600, one can be oc-ed at 1ghz, one at 750 and one at 603... there are no such things as same components

Ahaa! thanks for the info. now Why can't I just by a pentium 4 chip, everyone try's to sell you a whole new computer. Am I looking in the wrong place, or is this the only way to get one? Do you need a whole new motherboard or can you just snap the chip off and on or sodder it on? I have a nice frankenputer going on. I've taken this thing apart so many times it's starting to look like a whole new entity!:)

In the past, everyone I know who has replaced their CPU has also replaced their motherboard. Motherboards are cheap, so what the hell. You should be able to use all your old peripherals, CD-ROM, memory, video cards, what-have-you. You don't have to buy a whole new system just to upgrade your CPU. Personally, I stink at taking stuff apart and putting it back together, so I just pay the guy at the shop to reassemble everything for me.
Let me know if soldering a new $600 chip to your old motherboard works. Soldering irons make me nervous, so I generally use wood glue.

yeah your right! wrong topic page, but thanks for the info non the less:)

I tested the xp before, I retested it again. I know that you get the same xp for killing things wether you have 1 or 6 people in your squad. The only thing I can think of that might make you higher level is if the objective xp rewards are devided, I haven't tested that but it doesn't seem like it. I'm not sure you are higher lv either, did you get to coldwater before in tb? I've got my characters at 17th just after the mutants last mission, but I've been wandering around killing things in the wastes quite a bit.

CTB is much faster than TB. I've been playing almost exclusively in CTB this game, it's made it about 2.5 x faster to get through missions. I've only gone into TB a few times, like when defending the ghouls so that I had enough control to make sure none died. The main thing I haven't liked in CTB is that you always attack the nearest enemy when you should be shooting the dangerous ones. I've found that splitting my 6 man team into two 3 man teams with 2 snipers in back and one burster up front is very effective, especially when I can bring my other team around to fire at a different angle.

I can't really see playing with only one squad member, but perhaps two, one support (probably stich) one offensive (main) would be o.k.

well when I only used one character I did have it on the easiest setting. have you tried this game on the Insane setting it's.....insane!! and I don't think you earn any more exp than the other games. It's just insane.

check this...

I though hell, maybe you get more exp on harder levels, so I tried with starting a new game on insane... ok, so I was wrong, no extra exp. Reload my old save where I have to fight those guys who stolen some power armours. And I forgot to switch to normal... I played the damn mission 2 days, because my vindicator kept hitting the power armor dudes for 1 point of damage! :) I kicked my self in the butt when I figured where the problem is :) finished the mission in 30 minutes :)

lol. that's hillarious. (but I have done the same damn thing):)Insane is good if your playing a character with all stats around 20-30 even then it's challenging. It seems like there are more enemies but it can't be that b/cs like you said the exp's stay the same, I can't figure it out...it's just insane!!
