First time out of the vault
has anybody in here played it(specially blade of destiny)? its one of my favorites, and a game i enjoyed much before fallout. by the way, the game resembles in some areas like fallout(travel system, even tough much more complex and the turn based combat) but in a fantasy setting. there is a lot of micromanagement, and a really revolutionary game(considering it was made in 92). i posted here because i play it till today, and still gets some surprises: one of my characters decided to become a missionary and forfeit fighting, thus leaving forever (not counting the time some blind woman conviced the people i was the messiah).
if anyone here played it and wants to share experiences, you're welcome.

I have the set, but I think trying to play the second one used to give me a divide by zero error. But it was fun from what I remember of the other ones. I bought it right after finishing Wizardry 7.

Since I'm not doing anything today...

Weee, someone mentions RoA! And that only the day after I found out there was actually a fourth part!

I had to think of it because of the ongoing debate about a FP Fallout, since RoA had a 3D mode for exploring cities, an isometric combat mode and a map for travelling.

RoA 3 was thoroughly ripped by reviews and I never understood why. They still used basically the same 3D mode - although they had improved it, wasn't movement in RoA 2 restricted to step-by-step and 90° turns? And RoA 3 allowed free movement - and the reviewers kept calling it "forgettable" and suggest you could just have played with the map, which I find ridiculous after I gave up trying to play RoA 1 because I simply couldn't stand using the map for moving.

PS: Gah, I just found out the 4th part was never released, so much for getting my hopes up. Also, I just saw a screenshot of RoA's 3D mode in a city. In other words, I must have been doing something wrong that I couldn't use the 3D mode. God, how stupid could I have been? Talk about FRUSTRATING.
